1. Does filling up the Admission Form guarantee admission to DPS, Faridabad?
Ans: No, filling up the form is merely the first step to be eligible for admission. It does not guarantee admission to DPS, Faridabad.
2. I am not very comfortable in filling the Online Registration Form. Do I have any other option if I want to apply?
Ans: If you are not comfortable in filling the Online Registration Form or do not have access to internet, you can walk-in to the school and meet the SIS Team at the school reception between 8 am to 1 pm.
3. Can I pay the registration fee through a Cheque or Demand Draft or in cash?
Ans: The registration fee can only be paid online. It cannot be paid through Cheque, Demand Draft or in cash.
4. What is the minimum and maximum age limit required to seek admission to the Nursery Class?
Ans: The child should be between 3 and 4 years of age as on 1st April, 2017 (born between 1.04.2013 to 31.03.2014) to be eligible for admission to the Nursery Class. While a child more than 4 years would be eligible for admission to Prep Class, application for any child below 3 years would be rejected.
5. If I live within 5 km radius from school, will my child be given preference while seeking admission to Nursery Class?
Ans: Yes, your child will get some additional points for the distance.
6. What does highest qualification mean?
Ans: The field Highest Qualification in the form refers to the highest academic or professional qualification of both the parents. For instance, if you hold both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees you need to specify only M.Sc. You are also required to mention duration of the qualification.
7. What do First Name of the Applicant and Last Name of the Applicant refer to in the Application Form?
Ans: The field First Name of the Applicant refers to the name of your child and Last Name of the Applicant refers to your surname or family name.
8. If I or my spouse were alumni of DPS, will that guarantee admission of my child to the school?
Ans: If you or your spouse were alumni of DPS, you will get some additional points but it would in no way guarantee admission to the school.
9. If both the parents were alumni of DPS, will the child get double scoring?
Ans: Yes, if both the parents were alumni of DPS, your child would get double scoring.
10. If my residence does not fall in any of the options indicated in the form, will I still be able to avail school transport facility?
Ans: Yes, if admitted to school your child would be able to avail the school transport facility. However, the decision regarding this rests with the school authority.
11. Does the Emergency Contact Number need to be a mobile number only?
Ans: Yes, the Emergency Contact Number should preferably be a mobile number.
12. I already have a child studying in DPS Faridabad. Will I get any preference for my second child?
Ans: Yes, your child will earn some additional points for the Sibling category which means real brother or sister only and not cousins.
13. As a student I represented my school and college in several Zonal and State Level Tournaments. Will my child get a higher score?
Ans: No, your child would not get any preference in such a case.
14. I scored maximum marks in my zone in Class XII/Class X Board Exams. Will my child get any preference?
Ans: No, your child would not get any additional points.
15. I studied in DPS from Class Nursery to Class IX. However, the form is not accepting my details like school as well as pass out year. Please guide.
Ans: To be eligible for the category DPS Alumni either or both the parents should have cleared Class X or XII or both from a DPS School.
16. I do not have an email id. Can I leave the field blank?
Ans: No, it is a mandatory field and therefore cannot be left blank. Moreover, your email id would be used for all future communication regarding admission.
17. What are the payment options to pay Registration Fee online?
Ans: Online options available to make the Registration Fee payment are through Credit Card, Debit Card or Internet Banking.
18. I am seeking admission for my child in Class III, can you please let me know the complete admission process at DPS.
Ans: The first step is to register your child by filling in the application form. If shortlisted, you would be informed by the school authorities.
19. How would I know if I have successfully made the Registration Fee payment?
Ans: If you have successfully made the payment online, you will receive a confirmation on your mobile through SMS and a mail at your registered email id.
20. If my child is shortlisted, how would I be informed? Since the application form is online, will I only be sent an email?

21. If I want to apply in DPS, Faridabad and DPS, Greater Faridabad. Do I need to fill separate forms or is it an integrated process?
Ans: Both the schools are independent. Therefore, you would be required to fill separate Application Forms for each of them. This form is specifically for DPS, Faridabad.
22. How do I put my signature in the declaration column?
Ans: By making the payment, you automatically accept all the terms and conditions mentioned in the declaration column.
23. How do I upload my childs photograph?
Ans: You can scan and upload a recent colour passport size photograph of your child with 80% face coverage.
24. How would you define safe commuting? Can I arrange a cab or I would need to pick and drop the child personally?
Ans: Yes, you can arrange a cab on your own but would be required to get due certification from the school.
25. How much time will the complete process (from filling in the Registration Form to finally getting my child admitted) take?
Ans: The complete admission process is expected to take 3 weeks in all from the last day of submission of application form.
